The Time Machine makes a stop in 1998 this time. The year of the massive selling The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Lucinda Williams issued her greatest album called Car Wheels on A Gravel Road. Billy Bragg and Wilco turned some unfinished Woody Guthre lyrics into songs on their Mermaid Avenue album. Neutral Milk Hotel made an indie rock masterpiece, and The Twin Cities band Semisonic made closing time popular. It’s all 1998 our year on this episode of Time Machine.
