This week, we’re taking a sonic journey to 1972. Stevie Wonder dominated the airwaves. The Rolling Stones made a double-album masterpiece. There were soundtracks like The Harder They Come, which starred Jimmy Cliff, and Superfly featured the music of Curtis Mayfield. David Bowie made an album and wrote a big hit for Mott the Hoople. Lou Reed took a walk on the wild side. We leaned on Bill Withers, while Eagles were taking it easy. The Miami Dolphins had a perfect season. It was Nixon over McGovern in a landslide. If you saw a movie it might have been The Godfather or Deliverance. It’s all 1972, our year on Time Machine from The Current.
