This week on Time Machine, Bill DeVille whisks us back 35 years to 1984 -- a big year for The Smiths. The Pretenders got back on the chain gang, and Bruce Springsteen sang about being born in the U.S.A. Meanwhile, it was a good year locally, with huge albums from Prince and The Replacements, and one from The Suburbs that would become iconic.
