Prince's Essential Guitar Solos (1995-2010)

Prince was busy launching a brand-new band, the New Power Generation, and reimagining his live act into a horn-driven, jam-heavy funk fest throughout much of the 1990s and early 2000s, leading many to associate this era of his career with brass grooves and saxophone-laden ballads. But Prince was never one to stray too far from the instrument he was most closely associated with, the guitar. Even as he experimented with new sounds and styles, he always managed to include one or two fiery guitar riffs on each album — not to mention the countless face-melting guitar solos that were captured on his live albums in the early to mid-2000s, when he seemed to be playing harder than ever.
