The High 48s perform in the Radio Heartland studio

I'd like to believe that the High 48s got dressed up for a radio gig, but I can't honestly claim credit. Or can I?
When you go out to see traditional bluegrass, it's not uncommon for the band to be in suits and ties. Local guys, The High 48s, do that and say that when they do, they get compliments from the audience about how it shows respect for their listeners and how seriously they take their jobs.
The High 48s are releasing a new album with a concert on Friday, June 16, at the Cedar Cultural Center in Minneapolism, and you can bet they'll be dressed to the nines. They also will likely be standing around one microphone doing the typical "bluegrass shuffle" — moving in and out of the microphone's range to balance their vocal harmonies and instruments. They did that in our studio (even though we added a few mics for effect) when they stopped by this week to preview their new release, Daddy Was A Bank Robber. And as the photos attest, they wore suits, too.
