Every Tuesday at 7:30 a.m., John Moe stops into the Morning Show to share the latest news in technology.

This week, John Moe stopped by The Current's Morning Show to talk to Jade and Sean McPherson about Macaulay Culkin's modern take on Kevin McCallister and an Alaskan family who puts their house Christmas lights online.

Jack Dishel has a series of videos online featuring various cars for hire, and this video in particular features Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister from 1990 Christmas classic Home Alone.

The video focuses on Kevin's lingering issues from being left alone when he was eight years old, and over the course of the video, someone attempts to carjack the two. "The guy ends up bound in Christmas lights and you just know that a Tarantino-esk torture is coming his way," John says.

In other Throbbing Hive news, an Alaskan family has given people the online ability to control their holiday lights from around the globe.

John tried it, and the lights did seem to respond.

"I tried it out and sure enough you click on the garage wreath going off and there's a couple second lag and there it goes," John said. "I think that was me...it may have just been chance, but it was enough that I could believe it was me to cause me delight this holiday season."

John Moe co-hosts the podcast Conversation Parade (with Open Mike Eagle) on the Infinite Guest network, and is an author of a number of books, including The Deleted Emails of Hilary Clinton: A Parody and Dear Luke, We Need To Talk, Darth: And Other Pop Culture Correspondences.
