Since The Current signed on in January of 2005, we've uncovered some outstanding artists and songs. We couldn't do it alone, of course. Our listeners have been with us every step of the way, helping to rate, vote, email, tweet their favorites to us.

Reflecting back on that ten year relationship, we couldn't help but wonder, what was the biggest, the best, the most interesting and worthwhile musical discovery we have made together over the past ten years?

So we asked, and over 200 of you told us what you thought were the best musical discoveries since 2005. We took the list and narrowed it to the top 45 nominations (one half of our frequency, 89.3, rounded up, naturally) and tossed 'em into the poll below.

Some of the artists on the list had an existing —maybe even celebrated — career before we launched in 2005. We're not trying to take credit for that. We really just want to know what was new to you, and what artists resonated most with you since we started.
