"That was the best song Bob Dylan has never written," says Mary Lucia after of Montreal perform "Hegira Emigre" live in The Current studios, a likely comparison when an artist isolates himself during the writing process in a city like San Francisco and exclusively listens to '60s music as frontman Kevin Barnes did.
The Athens, Ga., group stopped by The Current studios before their show at The Cedar Cultural Center to play a few songs off the recently released Lousy with Sylvianbriar, which is of Montreal's 12th studio album.
Listen to the whole session to hear Kevin chat with Looch about Sylvia Plath's dark influence on the seemingly buoyant record, why he prefers to listen to records in headphones and about his experience interpreting Greek myths on a comedy tour.

"Fugitive Air"
"She Ain't Speakin' Now"
