9:30 Coffee Break: Trucker Songs
September 16, 2013
Over the weekend, Bill DeVille introduced us to a holiday we were unfamiliar with, National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. We love random holidays and we love truck driving songs, so this is right up our alley.
Let's hear some songs about driving trucks, or being a truck driver. Give us your suggestions and we'll play a couple for today's 9:30 Coffee Break.
We want to bring some music and treats to your workplace. Local band Ginkgo joins us this month with Peace Coffee and treats from Salty Tart. We'll bring it all to your office the last friday of the month if you win the Coffee Break on the Road. Email us to win: CoffeeBreak@TheCurrent.org
Songs Played:
Johnny Cash - "I've Been Everywhere"
Gram Parsons - "Drug Store Truck Drivin Man"
C.W. McCall - "Convoy"
Del Reeves - "Looking At The World Through A Windshield"
Red Sovine - "Phantom 309"
Jerry Reed - "East Bound and Down"
