Theft of the Dial: Dan Savage
June 27, 2014
Chicago native Dan Savage is no stranger to the media--he's made appearances on several news programs, stars in his own MTV television show Savage U, directed and acted in Seattle's Active Theater, published several books, and has written for the New York Times and The Stranger. On top of that, he and his husband founded the It Gets Better Project in 2010 to encourage communication among youth in the LGBT community.
From 1994-1997, he had a radio show on what is now KEXP in Seattle, so when Savage came to The Current studios, the political activist dug up his radio roots and gave us a taste of his music mind. Dan chose some of his favorite tracks to share with you--enjoy!
