Frankie Lee may not be a familiar name to casual local music lovers yet, but his face sure is. For years, he has played with countless artists in the Twin Cities, most notably supporting Molly Maher, Erik Koskinen and Tom O'Reagan as a guitarist and bassist. Now Lee has stepped into the spotlight with his debut EP Middle West.
He started writing songs when he was only 17 years old, and since then, Lee has traveled the country, living in Austin and Los Angeles before returning back to Minneapolis in 2010. At that point, he hooked up with some of our most well-known musicians: JT Bates, Jake Hanson, Jeremy Ylvisaker, Erik Koskinen, Mike Lewis, Ryan Young, Jeremy Hanson and Haley Bonar all lent a hand for the five alt-country songs that make up his first release.
Songs performed: "Country," "East Side Blues" and "Horses"
