Tegan & Sara performs in The Current studios

Raised in Calgary, Alberta Canada, Tegan & Sara entered a garage band competition in the 1990s and won. After making a total of three demos, ("The Yellow Tape," "The Orange Tape" & "The Red Tape") they released "Under Feet Like Ours" in April 1999, and was eventually signed to a record deal with Vapor Records.
Tegan & Sara then released "This Business Of Art" and went on tour with Neil Young. In 2002 the girls worked with John Collins of The New Pornographers and David Carswell of The Smugglers and released "If It Was You." They also collaborated on the 2004 release of "So Jealous".
In 2007, Tegan & Sara moved to Portland, Oregon to work with Chris Walla of Death Cab For Cutie on their latest project entitled "The Con."
The twins are on tour in support of their new CD ("The Con")and were in the Twin Cities to play a gig at The Pantages Theatre. Before their concert, they stopped by The Current studio and performed three tracks and had a conversation with Mary Lucia.
